And it may even save his life! ******************************************************** "Every Praise’: Kidnapper Releases 10-Year-Old Who Won’t Stop Singing Gospel Song by Fox News Insider // Apr 22 2014 // 10:02pm As seen on The Kelly File A gospel song saved a 10-year-old Atlanta boy from his kidnapper. Willie Myrick said he was in his front yard and bent down to pick up money when somebody grabbed him and threw him in a car. “He told me he didn’t want to hear a word from me,” Myrick said. That’s when Myrick began to sing a gospel song called “Every Praise.” The kidnapper started cursing and repeatedly told Myrick to shut up, but he wouldn’t. He sang the song for about three hours until the kidnapper let him out of the car. The little boy ran to a nearby home and asked the resident to call his guardian. Myrick recently got to meet “Every Praise” gospel singer Hezekiah Walker, and they sang the song together. Police don’t have any leads on the suspect, but are hoping a sketch they released will generate tips. http://foxnewsinsider.com/2014/04/22/%E2%80%98every-praise%E2%80%99-kidnapper-releases-10-year-old-who-won%E2%80%99t-stop-singing-gospel-song Yesterday I had the honor of delivering the blessing at the 1 year anniversary party of Gun For Hire's Range in Woodland Park., NJ. Below is the text of my message:
As we gather here today, on the first anniversary of the opening of Gun For Hire’s Woodland Park Range, let us reflect on these words from the men who founded this country: "A free people ought to be armed."- George Washington "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms."- Thomas Jefferson "Arms in the hands of citizens may be used at individual discretion in private self defense."- John Adams "The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. A well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the best and most natural defense of a free country."- James Madison "To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them."- Richard Henry Lee Let us dedicate Woodland Park Range as a place where all people can come to train and fulfill the noble principles our Founding Fathers established for us. Bless all those who will use this building, either as students or instructors, so that we may defend liberty and fight tyranny. May our barrels be straight, our triggers swift, and our aim accurate. And remember, God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers. Amen. I found this neat little tract holder online. Just print it out, cut on the dotted lines, fold, and tape! I placed one on my front door so visitors could help themselves.
God has blessed us with the funds to order the legal book we needed for our church library. A copy of "Witnessing In Modern America" by Dr. David C. Gibbs, Jr. is on its way to us from The Christian Law Association. This book outlines our legal right to witness in all the various forums defined in American law. It will be a helpful reference for us should we encounter public or police interference with our right of free speech. This is the first blog entry of our new church, God's Not Finished With Me Yet Ministries. Please have a look around our new website. While you're here, we hope you'll choose to accept the FREE GIFT offered to you on our Home Page. Our Co-Pastor, Rev. David Lay-Flurrie, and I are both excited and anxious to begin conducting outreaches at local events in the Oaklyn-Collingswood, NJ area. We've ordered some Gospel tracts and Gospels of John for distribution at these events, but we still need your help. Our biggest need right now is a book for our library. This is the book: Witnessing in Modern America By Dr. David C. Gibbs Jr This legal resource outlines your legal right to witness in all the various forums defined in American law $20.00 We are a small church without the resources to afford expensive legal help. Having this book in our library will allow more of the money God entrusts to us to go toward preaching the Gospel, rather than toward legal fees. You can help us obtain this book by making a contribution using the Donate button at the bottom of this page. Any donations received in excess of the cost of the book will be used to purchase more Gospel tracts for our outreach ministry. Thank you and God bless! "You should each give, then, as you have decided, not with regret or out of a sense of duty; for God loves the one who gives gladly. And God is able to give you more than you need, so that you will always have all you need for yourselves and more than enough for every good cause. He will always make you rich enough to be generous at all times, so that many will thank God for your gifts which they receive from us." (2 Corinthians 9:7,8,11 Good News Translation) |
